From the title, you’d think these men were armed and inside the hospital terrorizing people. Turns out one of them was getting treatment there. The Israeli forces that killed those three (who were getting treatment or visiting someone getting treatment) were also dressed as civilians (nurses and doctors)

Truly the most pathetic and most cowardly army in the world.

Hamas claimed one of the dead in Ibn Sina hospital as its member. The allied faction Islamic Jihad claimed the other two, saying they were brothers. Ibn Sina said one of the brothers had been receiving treatment for an injury that paralysed his legs.

No trial, no evidence except that from the Israeli side, just a field execution. No threat from these men whatsoever… and one of them was had a mobility disability too.

Pretty sure killing wounded combatants who have no means of resistance is a war crime. It’s even worse since it happened inside a hospital which should be shield from any fighting. Most moral army is acting as a bunch of war criminals as usual.

I dont understand what you want. We already know all 3 were hammas and Islamic Jihad, both organizations admitted they were. So all 3 of them are legitimate targets. Would you rather Israel erase the whole hospital? Or conduct a precise and dangerous operation to take them and only them out. Your problem was that it was in a hospital? Maybe they were hiding while not there and that was the only opportunity to het them?

No one else was hurt And 3 terrorists dead, whats better than that?

They were unarmed and getting treatment at the hospital. That’s against international humanitarian law. Several people have linked to this in the thread. I suggest you read them.

What does the humanitarian law say about OCT7?

That law was thrown out the window on OCT7 by Hammas. Lets not forget that. ALL Hammas and IJ members are legitimate targets wherever they are after OCT7.

Why do you keep mentioning October 7th? We’re talking about something else and October 7th is not a license to break IHL.

And no, you are wrong, they are not a legitimate target when unarmed and being treated at a hospital.

Why do I mention OCT7 all the time? Because people tend to forget the worst terror attack since 9/11 in the world had ever happened. 1200 people were massacred. And the organization who conducted and planned it for the past 3 years or so is all accountable. Every each and single one of them. Wherever they are. Armed or unarmed.

You do know that both sides have to be part of geneva convention for it to be valid.

“ The Geneva Conventions apply at times of war and armed conflict to governments who have ratified its terms. The details of applicability are spelled out in Common Articles 2 and 3”

Where was the Geneva convention on OCT7?

                  Yes ill keep mentioning it.

What do you think should be done with a vicious terrorist organization who has no rules or any regard for human life or and regard for basic human decency.

How would yoy deal with a terror organization deliberately hiding within civilians and hospitals and what not. Give the other cheek? Let them continue?

If “they broke international law first, so it’s now fine for me to” is a legitimate justification as you say, then Isreals decades of international law violations would make Oct 7th fully legitimate too.

Two were confirmed miltants. Problem is that they were there to get medical treatment… Israel could have arrested them and given them a trial, but instead, they chose to shoot them and terrorize and risk the lives of all the patients in the hospital.

No no no, not at all, we have plenty of children Israel killed in the shittiest of ways.

This one has got to be the shittiest I’ve read in a while: https://english.palinfo.com/news/2024/01/29/313573/

          Yesterday:

A 7-year-old girl is still besieged by Israeli tanks in Gaza City inside her family’s vehicle, which was targeted by the Israeli airstrikes about three hours ago, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) revealed on Monday evening.

Everyone inside it (her father and four siblings) has been martyred during the attack, the PRCS said in a tweet.

PRCS teams continued to communicate with the girl to calm her down, especially since the family was fired upon while contacting emergency services for help.

Meanwhile, ambulances are still unable to reach the location, as the Israeli occupation army considers it a closed military zone, targeting anyone attempting to move into the area.

News from today from AlJazeera’s live feed:

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) says it has lost contact with a team trying to rescue a six-year-old girl trapped in a car for hours after an Israeli attack that killed six of her relatives in Gaza City.

BASICALLY: The most pathetic army in the world.

It truly boggles my mind that people are aware of these inhumane atrocities and will still defend Israel tooth and nail. I know a lot are bots but a lot are also defending Israel of their own accord.

I feel like Israel, the US, Australia, most Europen countries, most so called ‘first world nations’ are responsible and absolutely complicit in dehumanising Palestinian people, and middle eastern people in general, for decades to the point where they can casually say that Israel should continue to ethnically cleanse and slowly genocide the Palestinians to defend themselves. And they will applaud themselves for saying this. In what fucking world does that make any kind of sense?

Also, these countries casually talking about bombing Yemen for example, like it’s a natural phenomenon. What fucking right do they have to go to a region far away from their countries’, launch attacks at inhabitants of the region, and have the nerve to say they must defend themselves when these people being attacked retaliate.

Imagine what would happen if any other country sailed around the world to the US or any of these other ‘first world’ nations, started attacking them because it was important to do so for their ‘geopolitical interests in the region’.

It shows how utterly despicable and ethically and morally bankrupt all these countries truly are.

Apologies for the the long rant lol, i feel very strongly on this subject.

Hamas killing civilians does not excuse Israel killing civilians or even militants while unarmed and getting treatment.

So please extend your belief of how terrible October 7th was to how terrible all the days after that were.

So whats hammas excuse for oct7 then? After all this is what started this whole shit.

You are saying they were treated in the hospital? Well there are sources saying they were there managing and planning an imminent terror attack against Israel.

And surprisingly those sources are IDF and can’t be backed up by anyone else, and on top of that all the footage and testimonies we have contradicts your story.

Ps: Hamas had no excuse to kill or kidnap any civilians. Didn’t think I had to spell that out to you, I thought it was clear from literally every other comment I made here and anywhere else on lemmy. Also, Israel had no excuse to commit a genocide, destroy infrastructure, do field executions, etc.

Hope bolding it helps you understand the point.
