It’s been said before, and I’ll say it again: these posts are awesome, I love the thought and effort put into it. Even if nothing within the article sparks my particular interest, the format is so fun and well-made that I happily read it, like some sort of article reading enjoyer of enjoyable articles of sorts

1295·1 year agoPeople on here are sick. We’re talking about something tragic. I lament the loss of something as beautiful and precious as this. To think that a mountain could be tainted by being favoured by a genocidal dictator… no mountain deserves to be treated that way.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you differentiate between knowledge and belief?
2·1 year agoWhen I challenge my established concepts with new ideas or angles, and realize my previously held truth doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, or is reinforced or expanded upon. For example, “is a hot dog a sandwich?” makes me reconsider how so much depends on context, and how we as humans crave labelling and categorizing to the point of it being detrimental (see biological sex vs gender, Star Trek edit wars, classical music and pornography cataloguing, etc)

67·1 year ago“We’ve noticed a significant decline in morale, increased distrust and a disconnect between leadership and the workforce,” a comment posted on an internal forum ahead of the meeting read. “How does leadership plan to address these concerns and regain the trust, morale and cohesion that have been foundational to our company’s success?”

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which songs from the last decade (2014-2024) will become classics?
38·2 years agoAlso, for anyone over 35, our ability to understand “last decade” means the last 10 years, decreases over time. I read this question and still thought about songs that came out 2009.

I can get a solid 2-3 hours on Baldur’s Gate 3 (with a bunch of mods) before I have to worry about plugging it back in. All the other games I play right now are the other ones that you’ve mentioned are older games that really don’t drain the battery at all. I’ve used mine pretty consistently since November December of last year, and I haven’t really noticed a drop in performance of battery life.
I really wanna try some of the newer games that look great like that Clair Obscur 33 game to see how it compares.
