I would keep working part time because I love my job (psychotherapist). I would also garden, knit, go camping a lot, learn a musical instrument, write fiction and non-fiction books, have a podcast about mental health, and spend more time with friends. Traveling would also be a favorite.
None require a prescription, and as far as I know none of these are addictive.

I completely believe this. My patients who are on ketamine or psilocybin often say they discovered through psychedelics that everything they ever needed to heal was inside themselves the whole time. I think psychedelics simply give us access to what lies within. It’s also a state that can be achieved with things like Holotropic Breathwork.
It’s awesome that there are people who can connect with those abilities without psychedelics or any special preparation. Wish I was one of you!
Yeah, that wouldn’t be synesthesia, and I’m not exactly sure what it would be. What I do know is that we don’t have enough understanding of how how our brains work, and we need more research on stuff like this. Is it a positive or negative experience when it happens to you?
It’s totally possible to have synesthesia experiences without substances. Some people just have it, and you might be one of them.

Knitting. Super cheap to start, you can pick up a set of needles and some acrylic yarn for under $20. But when you start getting into nice yarns and bigger pieces, you are spending hundreds of dollars on yarn alone for a blanket or a sweater. And you want nice needles in all sizes as well as all types (double pointed, regular and circular)… more hundreds of dollars.
Moral of the story is if a friend knits you something with nice yarn, please appreciate it. Lots of effort and thought went into it.
From afar, I love the food. I’d love to visit and learn more about the country but as a woman I don’t feel safe going there.
