What do you mean by this?
Are you referring to paywalls?
Interesting.
I don’t care if people want to dis it or not.
Based on my experience and the experiences of literally everyone I know, performance of video players has never been an issue.
I don’t watch videos of such length and quality that seeking could cause lag; I’m glad I asked to get other people’s input.
Asking for benchmarks is just par for the course when measuring performance. It’s fine if they’re not there, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Now go away, you silly person.
🖕
It’s easier today to make a website that would be ‘acceptable’ in 2006.
Are there any benchmarks to support this?
It really did a lot for me to try and tone down my temper and disposition.
👏
Great share. Hopefully we can see more insight into how platform owners and mods are abusing their power to decide what people get to talk about, and by extension what they get to think about.
The modlog in lemmy is a godsend. It should be standard everywhere to be able to see what someone else is trying to hide from you.
We should get to decide, not some fuckhead with an agenda.
Because the US government is beholden to businesses, which are beholden to Zionists, not its own citizens.
Nothing wrong with you using caps lock instead of shift, but I haven’t noticed any ‘caps lock delay’ personally.
You did great. Infinite scrolling is a meme and sucks more often than not.
Pagination is almost always the way to go for people whose brains aren’t rotted from twitter/instagram/tiktok.
Yes, I’m noticing it’s getting worse as time goes on.
We’re rewarded for our hysteria and punished for going against it.
I never trusted deepin or MX linux.
Too much shilling on forums.
Where can I get these for free?
Yeah, but is the speed difference between the two really noticeable?
I mean, it is faster
Lol, what? Do people really care about the ‘speed’ of their video player in 2025?
How come they don’t just use VLC?
Nvidia user here. The criticism of Nvidia support on Linux is always blown way out of proportion by AMD fanboys.
The only issue I ever have is needing to prepend prime-run
to each application I want to launch with the dedicated GPU.
I’ve had significantly worse problems with AMD drivers, so much so that it really opened my eyes to how stable things were on the green team.
I’m not saying you should get one over the other, but you shouldn’t let fanboys dictate your decision. They will try to do so without admitting they’re fanboys, so we have admit it for them.
670 is still better than nothing.
Hopefully it can find its way to someone else’s home on the cheap and still give them plenty of years of fun.
Yep.
“Games as a service” are released as a “minimum viable product” to see if it can hook enough suckers to make it profitable enough for the company to finish making.
If there aren’t enough saps that take the bait, development ceases and whoever put their faith in the product look like tools.
Is it really an ‘announcement’, or just the act of trying to cover it up in the first place?
