I’d say go with kde as you DE. Personally I like opensuse tumbleweed.

What is its original purpose?
Proper leather boots. I got the red wing irons rangers. Took 3 months of to break them in but it was worth it. Now I have boots that will last me half my life if I take good care of them, plus they fit like a glove!
This is my opinion as well. While what op describes sounds like he could definitely find a better company with a more supportive atmosphere, it’s just the nature of the job.

This. I use IntelliJ for Java, Kotlin, typescript, Python, HTML etc… it just does everything and does it better than other IDEs.
