I think people just want something to do and some encouraging people around them.
I didn’t buy it, but I was at Cooter’s Garage near Luray VA this spring and on the wall was a big cool detailed map with a bunch of motorcycle routes and bars, restaurants, and attractions to see all over WV, VA, and OH. I asked if they had it for sale and the lady said, no, but there was a little smaller version available with the brochures. So I got a folded-up one that’s still neat.

But with the federal government mandating that all cars must have automatic braking after a certain date in the future I guess we’re never going to get away from tons of sensors and computers in cars.

Yes it’s ok to generalize. That is how humans quickly cope with an overwhelming amount of information. But you always need to be flexible and willing to recognize that not everyone fits the generalization.

Yeah there’s that, and the fact that you have no control over how much the bill will be each renewal period. Those two things kept me off the cloud for anything important.

The Breeders “Drivin’ on 9” was a cover of song by an obscure band called Ed’s Redeeming Qualities. The Breeders version is IMO sweet and meloncholy but the original is rather weird.
Metallica might have been more influenced by the Thin Lizzy version. But the song is older than The Dubliners.
