Something to do with firmware. I just follow the instructions
I read on the droidian Matrix that the 8 and 8 pro were ported. You might ask there?
Also, no instructions. The droidian installer was pretty straightforward. Downgrade to the last Android 10 and run it.
I used to love Bryant Gardener when he was The Linux gamer.
But since the announcement of the steam deck, his view has narrowed far too much. He hasn’t made a non deck video in like a year.
I went Debian without a Desktop for my server. I later installed a desktop for the occasion that I need it. But mostly, I use SSH
Only correct answer.
What’s slackware
You could have a decent experience. Take away the NVME, even with an m.2 ssd, and the oled and bring that price down into the 400-600 range.
Hell, put an arm CPU and keep those other specs and stay in that range
Those are some… odd specs.
1TB NVME, OLED with an Intel N CPU?
Required memory 2GB? I have a Thinkpad T420. I’ll be installing this soon.
Debian is great for my server.
I use MX, based on Debian, for my laptop so I only have to remember 1 update command.
My laptop is ancient, and I’m not getting any more out of it than I’m getting with MX
BSD? Gnu/Hurd? Maybe Harmony OS, or whatever the Chinese android fork is.
Tbh, I’ve been considering moving to LMDE. Mint is very popular, which is a nice to have
Oh that’s absolutely a feature. Debian in it’s entirety is pretty boring. But it’s not making news or making memes
Or an extra battery. Their keyboard case has a battery built in, too. Iirc
I use it. It’s certainly a distro. For my laptop, I wanted something based on Debian to match my server, and i didn’t want to have to configure anything That’s pretty much it.
I don’t love it enough to recommend, but it’s doing its job well enough for me. Maybe it’s problem is that it’s boring.
I’ll admit, I haven’t really experimented with distros in a while. Not since I installed Debian on my server.
The question here isn’t “will this work”.
The question is “what will it take to make this work”
