And then you see Adam Savage geeking out, nearly in tears about gauge blocks in his workshop.
Veritasum is amazing. Recently I rediscovered them with the video about the SAT question everybody got wrong. My mind was blow.
I’m not doing it. No. Bad!
Belgian
In junior high we got low alcohol beer at lunch.
I mean, there are several FOSS transit apps around. The Netherlands, Germany,…
Family trips were awkward. I would make detours and hide the reason but just pointed out there was something awesome they should see.
I also took part in global ops where I met irl with other players to move keys.
When I think about it the real life component of that game is amazing.
Ingress. I was obsessed with it. Couldn’t stop playing.
By default in our country. You have to unregister if you don’t want it.
On an unrelated matter. France needs to be thrown under the bus from time to time. They need the constant pressure of revolution to function properly.
I’m still a bit confused about the instances and the political alignment of people on certain instances. I’m on Lemmy.ml but apparently people can be quite toxic on that instance.
Having to subscribe to the same subject on different instances feels a bit weird. I always wonder what I’m missing out on.

Powerful mapping and geographic analysis software.
Thank God for GDPR. That would be impossible in the EU. ID’s can only used in very specific cases that are detailed in the law.

Those government id based login methods are quite common and very secure. Belgium has a system that used your ID, your phone number and your phone to verify your login. A lot of EU banks have been using a OTP generated by a dedicated hardware that looks like a tiny calculator. The Netherlands has a dedicated app that is verified by your government id and that uses a qr to verify your identity.
You should indeed use a password manager to randomize the generated password phrases. Bitwarden adds capitals, numbers and other characters to the password phrases.
Bitwarden can generate password phrases. Some other password managers too. In the occasion you have to type out your password a password phrase is a lot easier.
Pflugerville. My mother has lived there for a while. She moved back to Europe when she got pregnant.
I’m not saying it’s social media, but it’s social media. You’re connected to negativity 24/7. The algorithm feeds on negativity because that is what makes us stay on there.
I’ve got something to change your thinking. At least it helped me 17 years ago.
Hans Rosling - The best stats you’ve ver seen
I don’t want to dismiss the facts. There are terrible things going on but overall we’re living our best lives at the same time.
Rutger Bregman | Where do we go from here?
And hey! I’m 43 too. You have a whole life ahead of you. You still can go in any direction you want to go in.
