I’m betting that it almost all comes down to sharpness and using better metal (harder, keeping it sharp)

He’s a liberal capitalist stooge. All of his decent-to-good policies are social, and virtually every financial or corporate decision is dogshit.
That doesn’t sound super optional
So then it kinda just sounds like they’re doing things they want to do
Yes, but game engines also hold the entire world inside themselves. There’s no guessing, no estimating, no making sure that what it’s looking at is actually a human or a bush - it already knows that.
The problem with computer vision being lazy is that it can’t ignore something without understanding what it’s looking at, and it can’t understand what it’s looking at without analyzing the data. It’s a circular problem, and will be ridiculously hard to solve - the crux of the issue is that we as people are analyzing that same data, we just don’t realize it.
Are there methods to deal with this sort of exhaustion from… gestures broadly at everything ?
Before you put the blame on everything outside - not being judgemental, it’s definitely not going great out there - have you gotten checked out by a doctor? Exhaustion might just be because the world is in shambles, but it’s just as likely to be because of something fixable - depression, some thyroid disorders and iron deficiency all present in the same way as what you describe.
It’s criminal to let someone do the thing he actively volunteers to do? It’s criminal to use software that someone intentionally puts out into the world as free?
If you’re willing yo do something for free, people are going to let you 🤷♂️
Obviously no one’s going to learn anything if all they do is blatantly asking for an answer and writings.
You should try reading the article instead of just the headline.
You could always try reading the article
Fewer bots. That and fewer users are literally the only (social) differences, sorry if you’re all trying to cope that lemmy is somehow superior in every way
My brother has been visiting - which is great, we don’t see each other often, just once per year or two - but I can’t wait to have my place back to myself this week. I love my brother but I am tired and need to just chill on my own without anyone else for like a day 😫
An echo chamber of what, exactly? I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make 🤷♂️
The alternative is people rip their families away from their homes that they’ve probably built over the years and move back to their old country.
Musk is very anti-remote-work, so they have to do this anyway. Moving to Texas is only slightly less jarring than moving back to their home country which, in my experience, most people on visas visit regularly anyway.
It sounds like they’re deeply invested in their hobby (which is great) at the expense of other things (which is not great), and I’d say that is relatively common. It’s a shame that it isn’t a hobby that you share, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing.
When you say “let’s just sit and talk,” what are you trying to talk about?
This will have very little effect on SF in the long-term 😂🤣 All of their staff that was here are going to stay here - they’re not going to follow fucking X to whatever ass-backwards state Musk chooses
So, to recap:
Hell yeah, of course this is a win.
I guess I’m a little confused… why are there duplicates at all? What operation are you performing that ends with duplicates?
Is this drive just where you download them to, and then move them to your organized drive? Why do the books ever touch this drive at all? If there isn’t supposed to be media on the drive, why not just delete the source folder after the organization task is complete?
I hope someone gives you a good answer
I honestly don’t know that there is one. What OP is looking for is effectively an AI librarian… this is literally a full-time job for some people. I’m sure OP doesn’t have quite that many books, but the point remains
Lots of obviously fake tipoffs in this one. The overall scrawny bitch aesthetic, the fact she is wearing a club/bar wrist band, the bottle of Mom Party Select™ wine, and the persons thumb/knee in the frame… All those details are initially plausible until you see the shitty AI artifacts.
This is an AI-edited photo, and literally every “artifact” you pointed out is present in the original except for the wine bottle. You’re not nearly as good as spotting fakes as you think you are - nobody is
…what? No, I don’t see that at all
Yeeeaaaah… I’ve spent like literally 3 minutes learning to pick, and that’s all you need to just scrape SO MANY front door locks. So many locks are just so bad
