This is not a rebuttal, I agree with everything you are saying, and i’d like to make a point.

Some would say these events are caused by their savior/Messiah. I think that adds to the hope that an alternative singular person would step up to “save” everyone.

A lot of valid reasons for the price to be high but that’s still a lot of money. $80 for a game hurts. It went from a must buy early this year when I heard about it to ehh… Maybe I’ll see what happens first.

I think it kind of depends on your career up until that point. I have a lot of certifications and work experience. I list my past jobs, bullet point out my accomplishments. There is no about me section, or paragraphs. It’s bullet points and a section for clubs, volunteer work, certifications and school.

If you have less experience then you may want to do schooling first, with projects and accomplishments, clubs, etc and then any work experience.

The idea is be truthful, but not modest. This is what you are capable of, tell them. I completed project a for b reason by doing c things which resulted in d success. Define those variables over and over again.

They’ve been in the news daily with issues, Financial and otherwise. The sudden rush of people now just slows it all down.

I am glad I signed up yeas ago though, it was a hopeful time when I assumed technology would help fix us, and give us answers, and help me know things no humans before us could know.

Half the crap I downloaded from them is meaningless. Family tree is proprietary, and everything else is in formats I don’t know what to do with. Not like I’ll upload it again but it’s just files I have with no purpose now.

They just put out a huge update for the shield. Mine still plays the vast majority of things perfectly, even hevc and 4k content. I am perfectly happy with my shield pro. I’d buy one again if the current one shits the bed.

What are my other options? Apple TV and what else? Everything else is ad ridden underpowered and lacking licenses to play media.

I’ve had two failed harddrives in the last month. Not sure if bad batch or what. Thankfully the order these were on only were the two drives so may not see more. They are under warranty but it’s still a pain!

Otherwise I’m enjoying Mealie lately for my recipes. Kinda nice having them all in one place but accessible by anyone in the house.

I had an Intel s2600 with dual Xeon and 120 gigs of RAM. It seems like such a good idea to run that as a home server. However, the amount of power that it used because it was older was way too much.

I ended up hunting on eBay and found an old Asus motherboard, Intel chip, ram, and a pny Nvidia card.

I bought refurb hard drives from serverpartdeals and a new case from Amazon.

I recommend starting with a chassis you want and working backwards to help narrow your scope.

Also, I run truenas scale with a bunch of apps. Ssd z1 for os. Ssd z1 for transcode and caches. And then 4 drive set for main storage and another 4 drive set for backup of the first set.

You’re right that it’s good to be aware of this stuff, I also don’t see this being a road block for the average user.

I do not still wear a mask, but I really loved having my face covered when I went places during covid. I just felt free. I don’t know why as I don’t have a problem going anywhere or doing anything normally, but covering my face felt good (except on 100 degree days in summer).

I use a leaf. Similar to regular razer but uses the same blades as safety razer. So the method and form factor didn’t change for me. It’s metal and will last me a long time.

I don’t think protonpass has auto fill even on browser extension.

I don’t know that they deserve favorite because of what they are, they don’t even have much of a smell! But there is just something about them I love, and maybe it’s memories or how “wild” they look as they grow in bunches. It reminds me of wildflowers in a field.

I feel like all these giant legal teams have such incredible capabilities to push lawsuits however and wherever they want - it’s honestly hard to just keep up with what is happening and why.

Black-eyed Susan. They grow in big bunches and expand outward each year in a ring where the seeds fall. Just a simple flower that stands out in late summer in my area and lasts through fall. It’s low maintenance too.

It’s a commuter backpack, momentum 30. Has a front pocket to fit a bike helmet, I never use it for that but a big stretch pocket on the front is so useful.

Overall, it just always seems to fit everything I’m carrying with me to most places.
