Or it’s the day before March 1.

Your job is automating electrons, and now some automated electrons are threatening your job.
I have to imagine this is similar to how farmers felt when large-scale machinery became widely available.
Internet Archive likely wouldn’t be able to handle it. They’re already struggling currently, as it is, and dumping a few petabytes of caches of the entire internet onto them probably won’t help.
Fuckin’ A.
They’d get a really big megaphone and tell the pilot “Pull over!”
jk, they’ll just fire a Sidewinder missile at it if it deviates from its flight path.
I can finally take on General Kenobi.
Fuckin’ A, man.
Goldfish > Swordfish > Megalodon
While I would understand your reasoning for doing so, I would be disappointed to see it happen. There’s decent discussions on Beehaw that I enjoy taking part in, however if you guys decided to defederate or switch to a different platform entirely, I doubt that I would make another account somewhere else to follow. I like Beehaw’s content, but I have enough accounts to keep track of these days after everything split from Reddit, so it would ultimately be a loss for me.
I’m not sure if this is a commonly-held opinion for those of us outside of Beehaw, though.
I’d call it Mexican-inspired, at the very best.
I couldn’t find any details on their page, but do you know how they handle bank account syncing? Is it using a backend service like Plaid or something similar to securely link the accounts, or do you have to provide your bank credentials to the app directly?
Ahh, that’s an interesting angle I hadn’t considered. I wonder if there’s a way to quantify the water savings this way, like a volume of water per TP roll or something. I feel like that could be a solid selling point to get more people interested in buying one.
How? Aren’t you using more water than normal dry wiping, which uses none?
It’s not that ironic. In this case, the tool was creating a near-identical replication of the Disney logo. Generally, AI hasn’t been able to convincingly reproduce a logo like that with any degree of reliability (for instance, the jumbled logos in the Getty Images situation). It looks like the AI has actually advanced to the point where it actually violates Disney’s trademark. That crosses the line of fair use at that point.

FreeTaxUSA is the best. TurboTax can eat my ass.
I just got fired after reading your comment.
It’s pretty common in a lot of cities for apartment complexes to have deals with cable/internet providers that require residents to sign up for cable TV if they want internet service, so a surprising amount of people still have cable these days, even if they don’t actually watch it. My apartment forced us into getting cable service with Spectrum so that we could have internet, and we never even bothered to pick up the cable boxes because neither I nor my roommate watch live TV ever, but we still have to pay for it, anyway.
If you choose not to vote, you’re only helping the greater of two evils.
That’s generally how it works, yes.
