I love self checkouts at most places except supermarkets. It’s a shit show.

At my supermarket, it was 1 regular register and 8 self checkouts with attendants helping customers.

Theft was so outrageous, they had to have four attendants and two security guards at the self checkout because machines kept breaking, things weren’t being scanned, and people were stealing.

I walked in on a session (might be D&D) at a bar where they spent about two hours talking about their characters backgrounds. Not a dice or figurine in sight. I think they did one skill check. But most of it was just party members talking to each other and the DM.

People who practice good privacy have a significantly less chance of getting shit on. So why not?

A large percentage of people in Human Resources are absolute idiots. They often use their own perspective as what the company should be doing.

Ask them politely where that rule is because you want to understand. If they cannot provide it, immediately share all the conversation with your manager.

At my job, we have an error code that is similar to this. On the frontend, it’s just like error 123.

But in our internal error logs, it’s because the user submitted their credit card, didnt fully confirm, press back, removed all the items out of their cart, removed their credit card, then found their way back to the submit button through the browser history and attempted to submit without a card or a cart. Nothing would submit and no error was shown, but it was UI error.

It’s super convoluted. And we absolutely wanted to shoot the tester who gave us this use case.
