You know what I think you are onto a big idea that would be very fruitful no joke. Make multiple instances for different porn things then have traffic naturally come there then link to other non-porn instances on the side. You genius!

Was thinking you were doing something like that and going to do the same. Donating to creators I watch either way too
No I would ask them if I can. Also, be a donater as well
My bad forgot to mention that
Tidal and Quboz as well for music. I get what you mean though I’ll give Odysee a go too
That is true and fully agree would be good for more of them to use Liberapay as well. I’ll add on though the pipeline to get users and creators in is difficult. Another commenter mentioned how their experience was and it is mostly similar to mine. I’m used to federation more so than others but the process makes it harder to get people in in the first place
Have no idea if they will see this by @ing this way but they definitely need to see it is a difficult experience even for people used to federation
Maybe you can contact them on Mastodon and other ways as well. I’m doing the same
Thanks for the link. I’ll see how I can add on
Oooo can you make a guide on how to do that? I would love to mirror youtube channels I watch
That too content is definitely a big thing that it needs. Kinda hard to make content for it if people such a tough time setting it up in first place though
I told you on my post that I agree with your idea and that it should happen
There ain’t no philosophy behind trying to get the ball rolling more to have more conversation then more action for it to happen. Nobody knows everything. Also hope you build out this post so that it can truly highlight how good of an initiative/idea/project it is

1·7 days agoYou seem very knowledgeable I humbly request you offer to help those groups: PostmarketOS, Linux Mint, etc to create a group that focuses on getting partnerships in the way you suggested (Giving them the say explanation you gave me). You can do some and everyone else can do some too. Doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time and would help in every way literally. Can develop pipeline for volunteers so you don’t have to eventually either
There should be more on https://alternativeto.net/ when you search “DeepL” for alternatives
Since many are listed here but I am sure there are more
Very true but you can dual wield that watch with an actual full-blown open source smart watch when the full one becomes a thing

1·10 days agoGreat points non so no worries! Aren’t they partnering with a new OEM though? But I guess that would probably still have the same problem
Thinking to put together a website of what people have suggested in various posts to develop this initiative more overtime in various ways. Any other problems you can think of?

2·10 days agoAppreciate it! Do you mean the FSF Librephone? It’s not a new phone in case you didn’t know. They clarified that the project will be to make the proprietary code blobs of a couple android phone into something FOSS so it can truly be used fully for FOSS development

2·10 days agoThat makes a lot of sense. So really we would need to make a database of local e-shops and then partner up to have phones sold. That is a genius plan to get into the public eye

1·12 days agoNo worries, great points you listed and definitely good angles on how to tackle it. Definitely will need a wide range of solutions done in tandem and those are definitely up there as well

2·12 days agoI completely forgot about Pixelfed. Haven’t tried it yet any clients you would recommend for it?
They could integrate with Liberapay if they do donation of any kind.
