I wish I didn’t think that. But I don’t see it any other way anymore. The “good” that America does is not genuine because it’s gotten by manipulation. Like the mob stealing and giving to their neighborhood.
" America " has many different interests and powers at play. Some elements of the good are manipulative. Some are purely good. Fought for by good people. I don’t think it’s reasonable to boil such a complex structure like a nation into such simple sweeps as “all their good is just manipulative”
