Silly corporation thinks they can roll back one update to undo all the damage that accumulated over several years. When it‘s a „straw that broke the camel’s back“ kind of situation it‘s not enough to remove the straw.

Corporate management often seems to think of changes as isolated, independent events, where the measurable impact of each change can be attributed to that change. I think it’s a symptom of the pathological need for KPIs and Data-based decision-making. Making big decisions is scary, and data can help with informing them, but I get the impression some managers grow so dependent on using numbers as a crutch to spare them from having to justify their decision with their own best judgement.

Its not the design. Its the ads, bots, and lack of privacy. I quit it more than a year ago

My sister puts her kids pics on there. I just downloaded the app so I can use the chat function to see the pics.

I denied the app access to my camera and it refuses to let me use it. I tried giving it permission and then taking it away, but it just gives a pop that won’t go away until you disable the camera.

It stopped doing that a few months back, but it still randomly asks every now and then. I wish Android could deny permanently

I’ve reaching a tipping point with all this data collection BS. I’m about to setup an old android and tape over the cameras to just use these apps to keep up with stuff.

Have you tried turning sensors off with developer settings? The camera stops working, I wonder if the app will notice its camera permissions are useless.

Well I’m on iOS currently, and disable the camera through privacy settings and it still does not allow me to use it.
