I’m out of the loop I guess, why is everyone insisting this app will be supreme before it has even been released?
Tangentially related: has anyone got app recommendations for a Relay for Reddit refugee? I have been using Connect and Liftoff and enjoying them both, but open to other suggestions. Will probably check out Boost when it releases, but since I haven’t used Boost for Reddit I don’t know what to expect.
I’m a Relay user. Getting used to Jerboa, Jerboa is fine. Will try Boost as well. There isn’t a swipey app like Relay right now though. Hope dbrady makes his mind up about what Relay for Reddit is doing, then make a Lemmy version.
Thunder is pretty good
Liftoff is kinda swipey though! Currently you can only upvote and save when swiping a post or comment, personally I am missing the ability to downvote. I really miss the in-app browser from Relay also, was very convenient to just swipe between link and comments.
Anyone hearing anything about any of the iOS Reddit apps making a comeback on Lemmy? We’ve got several from the android side but I can’t recall hearing anything about iOS. You’d think Apollo would make a comeback here… still hoping this is the case!
there is wefwef, which is completely unaffiliated with apollo but is trying (and doing a very impressive job) to 1:1 mimic the apollo UI. try it out!
Honestly IMO it’s a bit cringe for me that so many people are like, “fuck these Lemmy apps this [insert unreleased app] is amazing!”.
Like calm down, lol. Let’s see how it’ll be first, a lot of the Lemmy apps are great right now.
Signed, a Reddit Boost user.
I’ve tried all the available Lemmy apps for Android and none of them are at good at Boost was. Anyway, the more the merrier
because Boost for Reddit was fantastic, but Jerboa is also great so I’m pretty sure I’ll flip flop between the two from time to time
