It’s just so massive now, almost anything is forgotten within days, buried under the next days clickbait articles and circular discussions, it’s there forever, but buried, so there’s a kind of unsatisfying impermanence to it now. Since it’s all algorithms instead of being curated by humans there is just a less organic feel and I don’t like it lol.


I would suggest the Korg Volca line over something like these if you want some hands on hardware for an introduction, they will be a lot more versatile. That said, it doesn’t matter what you use to make music as long as you’re expressing yourself and having fun, toy or not.
