The Ukrainian Rada needs 338 votes to impeach a sitting president. They got only 328. Therefore, their ousting of Yanukovych and installing of Arseniy Yatsenyuk was unconstitutional. Of course, the U.S. immediately recognized the legitimacy of these actions. To put it in Victoria Nuland’s words, “Yats is our guy." and “Fuck the EU” etc.
But even if the U.S. was the “helping hand” and the neo-Nazis were the muscle behind the regime change, wasn’t Ukraine better off? Wasn’t it more democratic? No. The economy took a nosedive and the country took a turn for ultranationalism. The country was sold to the IMF by America’s puppet junta government and the rest is more fact based history.

In 2013, Ukraine’s GDP was 190 billion USD. By 2014 its GDP plummeted to 133.5 billion USD. And by 2015 its GDP withered to a diminutive 91.5 billion USD and its inflation ballooned to a hair shy of 50%.
